About Stage Right Puppet Productions
My name is Russell Whitehead and I am owner of Stage Right Puppet Productions. Stage Right Puppet Productions exists to provide family entertainment to children of all ages throughout the Southeastern United States through the art of puppetry.
As one of seven children, some of my earliest childhood memories are the children’s stories and fairy tales my father would read to us as we gathered on our living room floor. Stage Right Puppet Productions was created to carry that tradition forward to the next generation.
With that goal in mind and drawing on 12 years of puppetry experience in Christian ministry as well as 15 years experience in
computer animation , I made the decision to convert my garage into a 500 square foot puppetry studio and workshop. I embark on this adventure armed only with a love for children’s stories, a fascination with the art of puppetry and an overwhelming desire to tell stories and to create memorable experiences for my audience.
I am currently working on my first project, “The Red Bicycle” to be presented April 2011.
